Making this album has truly been a dream come true! I would like to thank Matt Bogart for bringing me to John Yap and turning my dream into a reality. You both made me feel so comfortable in the studio and I am indebted to your keen (and kind!) ears. Thanks also to Matt for singing with me as the dreamiest Emile de Becque. Likewise to Mary Testa for her superior Mother Superior, Jeff Kready whom singing with can really be compared to No Other, and Gavin Creel whose friendship has changed me from (practically) childhood through today. My unending gratitude to Jerome Korman and Howard Emanuel for their collaboration in bringing this album's accompanying cabaret concert out of my dreams. To my extraordinary friend and photographer Emma Mead and the brilliant make-up artist Priscilla Perez, thank you for making our day at Highland Farm so magical! And to Christine Cole who runs the B&B that was Oscar's former home, thank you for having us! You have preserved a rich part of American history and looking out the windows he looked out to write words like "I'm as restless as a willow in a windstorm" thrilled me beyond measure. I hope that your dream of turning Highland Farm into a museum for all to experience also comes true! To my 5 Zupon cousins who continue their mother's legacy of unwavering love and support, thank you for helping me get the ball rolling. (Auntie Marilynn I know you'd be proud of them, and hopefully me with this album. My heart IS blessed with the sound of music and with you living on in it.)
